‘Daytime Drunk Driving in Downtown’ Seocho-gu Council Member A Booked by Police
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] A current district council member was caught by the police for drunk driving in broad daylight in downtown Seoul.
According to the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul on the 21st, Mr. A, a current Seocho District council member affiliated with the Democratic Party of Korea, is under investigation for violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
Mr. A is accused of drunk driving near Bongcheon Station in Gwanak District at around 3:05 PM that day while being heavily intoxicated.
He was caught following a report from a nearby citizen. At the time of the arrest, Mr. A's blood alcohol concentration was reportedly above 0.1%, which is at the level for license cancellation.

A police official stated, "Currently, Councilman A has been sent home, and he will be summoned for questioning soon."
