Sacheon Mayor Park Dongsik, Priority Pledge to Distribute Emergency Disaster Relief Fund Before Chuseok
Resolution of the 'Sacheon-si Emergency Disaster Relief Fund Support Plan' at the July 20 Replenishment Meeting
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Citizens of Sacheon-si, Gyeongnam, will receive emergency disaster relief funds before Chuseok.
The 'Emergency Disaster Relief Fund,' which is Mayor Park Dong-sik's first and key pledge, is expected to be paid for the first time since COVID-19.
On the 20th, Sacheon-si held a Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting at the City Hall Disaster Safety Situation Room and deliberated and resolved to provide emergency disaster relief funds of 300,000 KRW per person before Chuseok.
NH Nonghyup Sacheon Branch and BNK will issue prepaid cards loaded with 300,000 KRW, which can only be used within Sacheon-si.
At the meeting, there was a consensus on the necessity of providing emergency disaster relief funds to stabilize citizens' lives and revitalize the local economy amid the prolonged COVID-19 infectious disease disaster crisis. The city recorded its first confirmed COVID-19 case on April 2, 2020.
Applications for the relief fund will be accepted from August 30 at the local administrative welfare centers, and efforts will be made to ensure all citizens receive the funds before Chuseok.
Detailed information such as application methods and eligibility can be checked from August 1 on the city hall website and at the eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers.
Since this is the first time disaster relief funds are being provided to all citizens, the city is making every effort to minimize inconvenience by processing applications and payments in a one-stop system.
