[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education will operate the ‘Green Smart Future School Smart Education Content Exhibition and Experience Center’ at the Ulsan Education Research Information Center for two days starting from the 21st.
The experience event was prepared for the educational community, including faculty, students, and parents from 31 Green Smart Future Schools, to find specialized plans for each school’s Green Smart Future School.
The Smart Education Content Exhibition and Experience Center consists of 11 booths where immersive smart education contents such as metaverse, VR, AR, MR, as well as sustainable environmental education contents like smart farms, Green IoT (Internet of Things), and Mission Blue can be exhibited and experienced.
The Green Smart Future School is a project aimed at innovating curricula and teaching and learning to prepare for the future society, focusing on four core tasks: spatial innovation, green schools, smart classrooms, and complexification of school facilities.
The Office of Education plans to reflect smart education and environmental education-related contents necessary for the pre-planning of schools targeted for projects from 2023 to 2025 and the design and construction stages of schools targeted from 2021 to 2022 into each school’s curriculum and classes through the Smart Education Content Exhibition and Experience Center.
A representative from the Ulsan Office of Education said, “We hope that operating the exhibition and experience center will strengthen the capabilities of the educational community and spread consensus on the Green Smart Future School project.”
School officials who visited the Smart Education Content Exhibition and Experience Center said, “Experiencing the contents at each booth gave us good ideas on how to utilize smart devices and contents,” and added, “We look forward to creative convergence education using immersive contents such as the metaverse.”
