The Sangju City Nonghyup Rice Cooperative Joint Business Corporation is an integrated corporation jointly invested by Sangju Nonghyup and Hamchang Nonghyup to foster a representative hub brand through the integration and scaling of Sangju Nonghyup RPCs.
After applying for the contest in April, it was selected as the final project target through written, on-site, and presentation evaluations by a professional judging panel.
The High-Quality Rice Distribution Activation Project is a Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs public contest project that supports modernization of rice processing facilities and installation of drying and storage facilities to improve rice quality and secure sales channels for farmers during harvest season, thereby enhancing the external competitiveness of Korean rice.
Looking into the detailed project contents, first, 2.8 billion KRW will be invested in modernizing rice processing facilities at the Sangju Integrated RPC by replacing outdated processing equipment such as rice milling machines and color sorters with the latest equipment. Additionally, 2.7 billion KRW will be invested in renovating drying and storage facilities, including installing four raw material input lines capable of processing 30 tons per hour and refurbishing the conveyance lines.
Furthermore, the existing Hamchang Nonghyup RPC will invest 4.9 billion KRW in installing drying and storage facilities by demolishing outdated processing facilities to convert into a drying storage center (DSC), including six silos (3,000 tons) capable of storing 500 tons of rice each and four circulation-type dryers.
Hamchang Nonghyup DSC (Osari) will receive a total project cost of 1.12 billion KRW, including 800 million KRW for replacing raw material input gates with a capacity of 30 tons per hour and refurbishing dust collection facilities.
