Dong-Eui University Wins Grand Prize and Excellence Award at Korean Tourism Association Student Contest

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] Students from Dong-Eui University swept the grand prize and excellence awards at the "University Student Idea Contest" hosted by the Korea Tourism Association, the largest academic society in Korea's tourism sector.
The "Forever Young" team, consisting of Seo Ji-eun, Kim Hye-won, Kim Se-eun, and Lee Sung-yeop, all seniors majoring in International Tourism Management at Dong-Eui University, won the grand prize at the 92nd Korea Tourism Association Busan International Academic Conference University Student Idea Proposal Contest held at BEXCO from the 13th to the 15th.
The "Forever Young" team proposed the idea of a Suyeong River Festival that can be enjoyed with pets, titled "River‘Quest, with ‘Guest’," utilizing locations such as the Busan Cinema Center and BEXCO to revitalize tourism around the Suyeong River and its riverside area, winning the grand prize.
The S.B.S (Spotlight Busan Spot) team, composed of Kim Min-jung, Kwon Na-hyun, Lee Hye-rim, seniors majoring in Hotel Convention Management, and Min Hee-chan, a sophomore, was awarded the excellence prize for their exhibition idea titled "B.B.B (Boom Beam in Busan)," which allows visitors to experience Busan's tourist attractions and local festivals through media art in one space.
Professor Lee Bong-gu, who supervised the grand prize team and is a professor in International Tourism Management, received the supervising professor award.

The 92nd Korea Tourism Association Busan International Academic Conference was jointly hosted by the Korea Tourism Association, Busan City, and the Busan Tourism Association. The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Korea Tourism Organization, Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, and the National Research Foundation of Korea, and was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the association's founding.
