Kim Jeong-hyun Elected as Chairman of the Gwangju Branch of the People Power Party

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Kim Jeonghyun (55), chairman of the Gwangsan-gu Gap Party Member Council, has been elected as the city party chairman to lead the People Power Party Gwangju Metropolitan City Party.
The People Power Party Gwangju City Party announced on the 19th that it held the '7th Steering Committee Meeting of 2022' and unanimously appointed Chairman Kim as the new city party chairman.
Chairman Kim was the sole candidate who registered for the People Power Party Gwangju City Party chairman election on the 14th.
The new city party chairman Kim Jeonghyun is scheduled to be appointed after approval by the Central Party Supreme Council.
Chairman Kim said, "I will dedicate myself to the party members and create a Gwangju City Party that serves the citizens of Gwangju," adding, "I will spend a lot of time communicating with party members and reflect their opinions in the city party's operations."
He continued, "Through the June 1 local elections, the citizens of Gwangju have indicated the direction the People Power Party Gwangju City Party should take," and said, "We will build a future-oriented party that harmonizes new and old members, including youth, university students, women, and senior party members."
