On the 19th, the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency announced that it has placed Section Chief A of the Dongbu Police Station, who is suspected of abuse of power, on administrative leave and plans to start an internal investigation to ascertain the facts.
Section Chief A is reported to have forced subordinate employees to run personal errands and pay for meals, among other unfair practices.
