[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, has been operating the ‘Wednesday Night Civil Service Office’ since 2012 to provide customized civil service convenience centered on the needs of users, and it is receiving great responses from citizens.
The ‘Wednesday Night Civil Service Office’ offers various certificates that can be issued by the Civil Service Passport Department, such as passport services and seal certificates, to alleviate the inconvenience of citizens who find it difficult to visit City Hall during weekday working hours due to reasons such as busy work schedules, dual-income couples, studies, and livelihood. The operating hours are until 9 PM on Wednesdays. However, it does not operate if Wednesday is a public holiday.

According to Jinju City, as of the end of June, the Wednesday Night Civil Service Office has processed 4,747 civil service cases over the past four years, and the number of users is gradually increasing.
