Lotte Entertainment announced that 'Hansan: Rising Dragon' (directed by Kim Han-min) will be released simultaneously in IMAX on the 27th.
The film depicts the 'Battle of Hansan' fought by Admiral Yi Sun-sin and the Joseon navy, united by desperate strategy and courage to protect Joseon against the advancing Japanese forces five years before the Battle of Myeongnyang. Directed by Kim Han-min, who attracted the largest audience with 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents' (2014), this new work is presented after eight years and stars Park Hae-il, Byun Yo-han, Ahn Sung-ki, Son Hyun-joo, Kim Sung-kyu, and Ok Taec-yeon.
Director Kim captivated 17.61 million viewers with a 61-minute naval battle scene in 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents.' It is said that the 51-minute battle scenes in 'Hansan: Rising Dragon' are also spectacular. He is determined to deliver the catharsis of victory more broadly and vividly through the IMAX screen. Additionally, viewers will experience the grandeur of the Joseon navy and various land battles as well as naval combat.
