View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won said on the 17th that he had an accident while walking and "had a series of bad luck."
Park posted on his Facebook that "this morning, while walking down the Ansan Jarak-gil trail in Seodaemun, Seoul, I slipped on a manhole cover," and "I immediately went to the hospital, and after examination, I was diagnosed with two broken bones in my ankle that require surgery."
He added, "If surgery is performed within a few days, about one and a half months of treatment will be necessary," and "I can participate in radio broadcasts via phone connection, but I have no choice but to cancel TV appearances."
