Kwon Seong-dong, acting party leader and floor leader, mentioned the high oil prices, high interest rates, and high exchange rates in his opening remarks, saying, "Downward pressure on the economy is increasing, and I am concerned whether the policy effects will be properly delivered." He added, "If we are not careful, the government may be criticized for being invisible during the economic crisis," and urged, "Please work together to prepare more active and preemptive crisis measures."

Kim Dae-gi, Chief of Staff to the President, regarding President Yoon Seok-yeol's departmental work reports, said, "The main directive is to revive the economy, to do whatever it takes to revive the economy," and added, "The Presidential Office will also do its best to proactively and promptly resolve the difficulties of the people."
Regarding the spread of COVID-19, the party and government announced that they would minimize restrictions on daily life and respond with scientific quarantine.
