View original imageThe number of new COVID-19 cases in South Korea reached 41,310, marking the highest count in 66 days.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced on the 16th at midnight that 41,310 new COVID-19 cases were reported. This is the highest number since May 11th (43,908 cases), 66 days ago. The total cumulative cases stand at 18,721,415.
Regarding the infection routes, 41,023 cases were locally transmitted, and 287 were imported from overseas. The number of imported cases has exceeded 200 for five consecutive days since the 12th, when 258 cases were reported.
