BPA executives and employees carried out facility maintenance tasks such as painting buildings and cleaning floors for remodeling idle facilities in the village, together with Idong Village residents and the Korea Water Resources Corporation Busan Fishing Village Specialized Support Center.
In April 2020, BPA signed an MOU with the Korea Water Resources Corporation and established a rural-urban win-win cooperation fund to support the coexistence and self-reliance of local fishing villages.
The fund is being used for cooperative projects such as supporting the construction and operation of a seafood direct sales center in Idong Village.
BPA planned the volunteer activities to strengthen communication and exchange with village residents and to support existing fishing village jobs and income generation.
They also carried out social contribution activities by donating miyeok, a specialty product of Idong Village, to 200 single-parent families and unmarried mothers and fathers in the Busan and Gyeongnam areas.
