The training, jointly hosted by BPA and the Busan New Port Hinterland Logistics Association, was attended by safety supervisors from 34 companies located in the New Port hinterland complex.
The training featured lectures by a team of experts from the Korea Industrial Training Association, an industrial safety education institution designated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The training program was composed mainly of practical cases that could occur within the port area, including ▲ the roles and duties of supervisors ▲ interpretation of the Port Safety Special Act ▲ amendments to industrial safety and health laws ▲ matters related to industrial safety and accident prevention.
A BPA official stated, “We prepared customized training that can actually prevent serious accidents, and the participants’ satisfaction was high.”
He added, “The safety supervisors of tenant companies were able to receive legally mandated training, which they would otherwise have to attend individually at distant training centers, all at once near the hinterland complex, which received a better response from companies.”
