Naju-si 'Environmental Cleaner Open Recruitment' Applications Accepted from 25 to 27
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City in Jeollanam-do is publicly recruiting 10 sanitation workers by applying the completely changed hiring criteria since the launch of the 8th local government.
The city announced on the 15th that it posted the "2022 Sanitation Worker Recruitment Plan Notice" on the city hall website on the 13th and will accept applications until the 27th.
This is the first sanitation worker recruitment in over two years since July 2020. The recruitment had been postponed for a long time due to controversies over fairness and various allegations such as bribery during last year's recruitment exam process.
The city plans to select a total of 10 sanitation workers, considering work conditions such as the increase in waste disposal demand, including four retirees in 2021.
This recruitment exam reflects as much as possible the "Sanitation Worker Recruitment Improvement Plan" that was thoroughly reviewed by the 8th local government Naju mayor's transition committee.
First, the physical fitness test, which accounts for the largest portion, increased by 15 points from the previous 45 points to 60 points, and the events and scoring were slightly adjusted.
For the interview exam, the score was significantly lowered from 45 points to 20 points, and the personality test, worth 10 points, will be entrusted and evaluated by a professional institution only for applicants who pass the document and physical fitness tests.
In summary, the sanitation worker recruitment procedure (scoring) consists of a total of 100 points: document screening (10 points), physical fitness test (60 points), personality test (10 points), and interview exam (20 points).
The city will select the final successful candidates based on the average score excluding the highest and lowest scores, and after undergoing employment physical examination and background checks, plans to appoint them in early September.
The eligibility for Naju sanitation worker applicants is healthy individuals aged between 18 and 55 (born between July 14, 1967, and July 13, 2004) who are registered residents of Naju as of the announcement date.
Other eligibility details can be found in the recruitment plan notice on the city hall website.
Application forms will be distributed from the 13th to the 27th of this month, and applications can be submitted in person at the Naju General Sports Park Multipurpose Gymnasium from the 25th to the 27th for three days.
Application forms and submission documents can be obtained online and offline at the city hall website, administrative welfare centers, and on-site on the day of submission.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, "We actively reflected the transition committee's improvement plan to establish new objective hiring criteria for sanitation workers that many applicants and citizens can recognize," and added, "We will hire sanitation workers through a fair process to ensure that no disgraceful or illegal incidents ever occur again."
