Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters Recruiting 320 Scholarship Students from Areas Surrounding the Power Plant
Jangan-eup and Ilgwang-eup Select Total 320 University and High School Students, Applications Accepted July 20-28
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters is conducting a scholarship program for students living near the power plant. The application period for the ‘2022 Gori Headquarters Surrounding Area Scholarship Students’ is from the 20th to the 28th of this month.
The Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters selects scholarship students annually to foster local talent, and this year plans to select a total of 320 students, including 280 university students and 40 high school students residing in the areas surrounding the power plant, awarding scholarships worth approximately 450 million KRW.
The selection criteria for university students include residents who have lived for at least 3 years continuously, including the announcement date, in Jangan-eup and Ilgwang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, or residents who have lived for at least 1 year recently and whose total residence period sums to 15 years or more, or their children.
For high school students, those attending schools or residing in Jangan-eup or Ilgwang-eup who come from families with financial difficulties such as basic livelihood security recipients or single-parent families, but who are exemplary students, will be selected as special scholarship recipients and awarded scholarships.
Applications must be submitted in person with the application form, a copy of the ID, and other required documents at the first floor of the Gori Sports Culture Center.
