Urinett Makes Strategic Equity Investment in Duduwon
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Woorinet announced on the 14th that it will invest in shares of Duduwon to diversify its 5G and specialized network business.
Woorinet is investing in Duduwon, which owns core network technology and products, and plans to discover new businesses in line with the expansion of the Eum5G market. It is expected to expand the scale of business on a 5G network project basis through business cooperation with Duduwon.
Based on Woorinet's domestic 5G and packet optical transmission technology and Duduwon's core technology, they will establish dedicated wired and wireless communication and mobile core product lines. They agreed to cooperate in promoting the specialized network-based Eum5G market and dedicated wired and wireless line business.
Duduwon's 5G core technology applies the latest technologies developed in-house, such as packet acceleration processing, path optimization, and multi-flow control for ultra-high-speed and large-capacity 5G services. It performs roles such as subscriber data delivery, traffic routing, and user access and connection control.
Woorinet CEO Choi Jongshin said, "We decided to invest to expand the Eum5G market as demand for 5G specialized networks increases," adding, "We will expand the 5G and specialized network business through synergy with Duduwon's independent core network technology."
