According to KORAIL, a man in his 50s, Mr. A, was inspecting the tracks near Jungnang Station at around 4:24 PM when he was hit by a Chuncheon-bound ITX train and died. As a result, train operations were delayed for 23 minutes. Mr. A was reportedly checking for any track damage caused by heavy rain.
