Seoul City Accelerates Support for Pre-Startup in 'Femtech' Sector... Applications Open Until 25th
‘Women and Family Health and Well-being’ Pre-Startup Incubating Program Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government is launching an incubating program for prospective entrepreneurs in the 'Femtech' field, which specializes in technology related to women's and family health and well-being.
On the 14th, the Seoul Foundation of Women and Family announced that it is recruiting participants for the prospective entrepreneur incubating program 'Femtech Challenge' as part of the 'Woman Tech Education Platform,' a project to nurture young female tech developers in the digital technology sector, a pledge of the 8th Seoul mayoral administration.
The program is recruiting a total of 15 teams of prospective entrepreneurs (teams) or companies within one year of establishment in the Femtech field, which develops technologies necessary for women's health, childcare, and family care for a better life. Applications can be submitted through the 'Space Sallim' website until the 25th.
The 'Femtech Challenge' program will be held over 8 weeks from August 3 to September 28, consisting of 9 sessions in total. Participants will be provided with office space (shared office) within 'Space Sallim' during the program period, and will experience business model advancement, one-on-one customized technical consulting, support for establishing business plans for investment attraction, and a demo day to present their business plans in front of investors.
At the completion ceremony and mock demo day held on September 28, five outstanding teams will be selected and awarded certificates and prize money. The prize money for the outstanding teams will be 3 million KRW for the grand prize (1 team), 1.5 million KRW each for the excellence awards (2 teams), and 500,000 KRW each for the merit awards (2 teams), according to their ranking.
