The four beaches?Gagae, Geumgap, Sinjeon, and Gwanmaedo?will operate for 32 days until August 15, with operating hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Recently, a Jindo-gun beach operation council was held in the county office meeting room to discuss and deliberate on major matters such as beach operation and safety management plans.

With the lifting of social distancing and the full recovery of daily life, the number of vacationers is expected to increase compared to last year. Jindo-gun plans to provide a pleasant resting space through thorough safety measures and prior environmental maintenance.

In particular, to attract tourists and revitalize the beaches, various events and festivals such as beach song festivals and the Cool Summer Festival will be held to offer vacationers sights and entertainment.

A Jindo-gun tourism official said, “To ensure the beaches are comfortable and safe for visitors to Jindo-gun, active cooperation from visitors and related agencies such as the Coast Guard and 119 emergency services is necessary for safety management.”
