Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival Korea Lantern Public Relations Exhibition to be Held
A Festival of Craft Arts, Design Proposal Submissions from August 4 to 8
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The '2022 Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival Korea Lantern Contest,' hosted by Jinju City, Gyeongnam, and organized by the Jinju Cultural Arts Foundation and the Lantern Contest Operation Committee, will be held under the theme 'Korea Traditional Lanterns and Creative Lanterns.'
The 'Korea Lantern Contest,' where you can encounter original and beautiful artworks by lantern craft artists nationwide, is one of the main programs of the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival, a nationally recognized representative cultural tourism festival that started in 2013.
This contest, open to anyone aged 18 or older regardless of nationality, will accept design proposals from August 4 to August 8.
Those who pass the screening will have the opportunity to submit physical works and receive creative support funds.

Prizes include the Grand Prize awarded to one person, which comes with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and a cash prize of 10 million KRW; the Excellence Award to one person with 7 million KRW; the Merit Award to three people with 5 million KRW each; and the Special Award to five people with 2 million KRW each. The winning works will be exhibited at the festival site within Jinju Fortress during the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival.
