Boseong-gun Culture and Arts Center Launches Cultural and Arts Education Project for Underserved Areas

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeonnam Boseong-gun Cultural and Arts Center announced that it has been selected for the "2022 Cultural Arts Education Support Project for Culturally Vulnerable Areas" hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Cultural and Arts Centers Association, receiving 26 million KRW in national funding.
The "Cultural Arts Education Support Project for Culturally Vulnerable Areas" is a cultural arts education program targeting residents in geographically disadvantaged areas with limited access to cultural facilities. In cooperation with the Performing Arts Village Yeonbaram, practical theater classes will be conducted.
The practical theater classes will be held every Monday and Tuesday from late July to late August at 10:00 AM (1st session) and 2:00 PM (2nd session). Pre-registration for about 20 participants per session will be accepted until July 23, and classes are scheduled to start on Monday, July 25.
A county official stated, "Through operating various educational programs that allow sharing culture and arts with neighbors, this will serve as an opportunity to enhance the cultural leisure life of local residents and improve their ability to enjoy culture and arts."
The cultural arts education program is free of charge and divided into two sessions: 1st session for elementary school students and 2nd session for middle and high school students.
