"Part-time Worker" 20s Man Robs Convenience Store Safe and Flees
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The police are pursuing a man in his 20s who deceived others by pretending to be a part-time worker and stole money from a convenience store safe.
The Gwangju Western Police Station announced on the 11th that they are tracking A (estimated to be in his mid to late 20s) on suspicion of theft.
A is accused of pretending to be a part-time worker and stealing money from the safe at a convenience store located in Geumho-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 1 p.m. the previous day.
At the time, A took advantage of the moment when another part-time worker, B (in his 20s), who was on duty, went to organize items, and took about 200,000 won from the convenience store safe.
B did not suspect anything due to A’s natural attitude, having talked with him for about an hour, and after confirming that money was missing from the safe, reported it to the police belatedly.
