The city announced on the 11th that it will operate a tourism promotion booth at the Changwon International Shooting Range from the 9th to the 21st during the ‘2022 ISSF Changwon World Cup Shooting Competition’ to promote Changwon’s tourism resources.
The ‘2022 ISSF Changwon World Cup International Shooting Competition,’ hosted by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), was suspended from 2020 to 2021 due to COVID-19 but is being held again after three years. About 600 athletes and officials from 45 countries, including South Korea, are participating.
The city will operate a tourism promotion booth at the main entrance of the Changwon International Shooting Range from the 11th to the 21st to attract foreign tourists by promoting Changwon tourism to the competition participants.
At the booth, Changwon tourism guidebooks and maps produced in multiple languages such as English, Chinese, and Japanese will be distributed, and there will also be special product tasting events.
In particular, to restore tourism demand from Chinese-speaking tourists who had the highest visitation rate to Changwon before COVID-19, staff capable of English and Chinese interpretation will be assigned to actively promote Changwon’s tourism resources.
