Recording Gijang Village through Photos! ... Gijang-gun and Dongseo University Recruit Participants for 'Evergreen Village Media Education'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Gijang-gun is recruiting participants for the ‘2022 Evergreen Village Media Education’.
The ‘2022 Evergreen Village Media Education’ is being conducted as part of the ‘Evergreen Project,’ jointly promoted with Dongseo University.
The education program is linked with the Busan Viewer Media Center and Gijang Youth Center under the theme ‘Gijang Village Recorded Through Photos.’ It is a program where youth and local elders visit ‘Naedeok Village’ and ‘Pangok Village’ in Jangan-eup to create photographic records of the village and its elders’ stories.
Fourteen students from 4th to 6th grade in elementary schools within Gijang-gun will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis until the 27th. Applications can be made by signing up on the Busan Viewer Media Center website and applying through the course enrollment tab.
The education will begin on August 4th, and on-site village visits will also be conducted during the education period.
A Gijang-gun official said, “We hope this education will serve as a communication channel between generations,” adding, “We will continue to actively utilize human and material infrastructure from local universities and related organizations so that local residents can access various cultural and artistic contents such as film and video culture.”
