Boseong-gun Collaborates with Local Artists at Korea Tea Museum for Diverse Exhibitions
First Exhibition, Kim Hyun-ho Photo Exhibition 'Staying at the Tea Field 차밭에 머물茶'
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] The Korea Tea Museum in Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the photo exhibition "Staying in the Tea Fields (茶)" by poet and photographer Kim Hyun-ho will be held at the Tea Museum's special exhibition hall until the 17th.
This exhibition captures the four seasons of the beautiful Boseong tea fields through the perspective of photographer Kim Hyun-ho.
Kim Hyun-ho is an invited artist of the Korea Professional Photography Association, residing in Boseong and actively engaged in various artistic activities. He serves as a director of the Jeonnam Writers' Association and the Boseong Arts Council, working as both a photographer and a writer. He debuted in 2007 by winning the Hanul Literature Newcomer Award in poetry and published a poetry collection titled "When the Tea Flowers Bloom, We Shall Meet" in 2017.
The Korea Tea Museum's planned exhibition schedule is as follows: ▲ June 29 to July 17, Kim Hyun-ho’s "Staying in the Tea Fields (茶)" ▲ July 20 to August 7, Boseong Daryewon’s "Heart-Throbbing Tea (茶) Culture" ▲ August 10 to August 28, Dajeon Yang Chung-nam’s "500 Years of Yangsan Folk Songs’ Tea" ▲ August 31 to September 18, Gamakjae Dawon’s "A Little Slower, Nareusha" ▲ September 21 to October 19, artist Jeon Kyung-young’s "Wood Carving, Blooming Green Tea Flowers" ▲ October 12 to October 30, Dadorak Dawon’s "Tea Story 108."
The Korea Tea Museum provides local artists with free exhibition space and support opportunities through the "2022 Korea Tea Museum Exhibition Space Sharing Project." This time, a tea-related special exhibition offering a glimpse into the culture and history of Boseong tea has been prepared, with a total of six artists, tea associations, and tea farmers preparing exhibitions until October.
