Jindo-gun Actively Promotes Energy Efficiency Improvement Project for Low-Income Households
Provision of Residential Welfare Services Including Replacement of Cooling Devices, Insulation, Windows, and Boilers
[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do is actively promoting the ‘Low-Income Energy Efficiency Improvement Project’ targeting households with poor energy usage environments to create a stable residential environment for low-income residents.
The ‘Low-Income Energy Efficiency Improvement Project,’ in collaboration with the Korea Energy Foundation, supports low-income households in energy welfare blind spots by providing ▲ heating construction support such as insulation, window, and floor piping work ▲ replacement of old boilers with energy-efficient boilers.
The support targets low-income households such as basic livelihood security recipients, near-poverty households, and those in welfare blind spots.
Construction costs will be supported from 2 million KRW to a maximum of 3 million KRW per household, and Jindo-gun plans to identify and support about 400 households.
Residents who wish to apply can visit the eup/myeon office to confirm eligibility and then submit the relevant documents.
A Jindo-gun Resident Welfare Department official said, “We hope that the residential environment of low-income households will be comfortably and stably improved through the energy efficiency improvement project.”
