Launch of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety-Police Agency Working Group for 'Police System Improvement'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the National Police Agency launched a working-level consultative body on police system improvement on the 8th.
The two organizations had been informally consulting regarding the recommendations announced by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's 'Police System Improvement Advisory Committee' on June 21, but decided to formalize this by operating the consultative body as a communication channel for mutual dialogue.
This working-level consultative body includes the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Policy Planning Officer and Police System Improvement Task Force (TF) Manager, as well as the National Police Agency's Planning and Coordination Officer and Innovation Planning and Coordination Officer as core members, with related department heads participating depending on the agenda. The consultative body will operate from this day until deemed necessary.
