Wave Opens Online Screening Room for the 26th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival
A Total of 139 Works Including 'Eomi' and 'The Woman in the White Car'
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Online video service (OTT) Wavve announced on the 8th that it will showcase major works from the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival for the second consecutive year through its online screening platform.
Wavve will operate the 26th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) online screening platform from 10 a.m. on the 8th until midnight on the 17th.
Wavve has launched a dedicated page for BIFAN's online screening platform, offering 139 titles (43 feature films and 96 short films). This accounts for more than half of the entire festival lineup, similar to last year’s scale.
In addition to the competitive sections Bucheon Choice and Korea Fantastic, Wavve introduces major works from a total of nine sections. The 'Boys, Be, Love' section, composed of Korean BL genre films, and 'Continues: 39+1, Korean Academy of Film Arts,' which includes KAFA graduation works released on Wavve last June, will also be available as separate sections for users.
The Bucheon Choice section includes two feature films: the horror film 'Eomi,' based on folk beliefs, and the sci-fi suspense genre film 'Alien Artist,' along with nine short films such as 'Bird Woman' and 'Brutalia of the Worker Bee.'
