Industrial Safety and Health Emphasis Week is a safety and health campaign designated by the government every year during the first week of July to raise awareness of the importance of safety and health in workplaces and society through related events.
This presentation competition was organized to discover excellent instructors and teaching materials in the field of safety and health, distribute and share them with workplaces, establish an autonomous safety and health education system at workplaces, and contribute to the prevention of industrial accidents through the revitalization of safety and health education. This year marks the 15th event.
Safety and health officials from 15 workplaces nationwide applied to participate, and six safety and health officials selected through document screening advanced to the finals.
The grand prize, the Minister of Employment and Labor Award, was awarded to Nam Min-ah, a Grade 4 health manager (Seoul Research Institute). She received high praise for her teaching materials that faithfully managed workplaces by new health managers in preparation for the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
The Excellence Award, the Chairman Award of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, was won by Deputy General Manager Choi Seong-hoon (Korea Industrial Safety Association).
This competition was held offline as COVID-19 prevention measures were eased.
Details related to the event are introduced on the Industrial Safety and Health Emphasis Week website.
