IP Valuation Within a Week... Shinbo Launches 'IP-Value Guarantee'
Guarantee Available Up to 300 Million KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] The Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) has launched a guarantee product that allows for rapid evaluation of intellectual property value.
On the 6th, KODIT announced the launch of the guarantee product "IP-Value Guarantee," linked with the Intellectual Property Value Evaluation System. This is to establish an effective support system for intellectual property (IP) commercialization.
Earlier, in January, KODIT developed a simplified intellectual property value evaluation model called the "Intellectual Property Value Evaluation System (KIVE)" in collaboration with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI). By utilizing this system, rapid intellectual property value evaluation can be conducted within a week without additional evaluation costs, significantly improving efficiency compared to external expert evaluations which typically take more than five weeks on average.
The IP-Value Guarantee product actively utilizes this evaluation system. It supports up to 300 million KRW within the final intellectual property value limit automatically calculated through the evaluation system for small and medium-sized enterprises that hold patent rights and have technology commercialization sales. Additionally, preferential criteria such as ▲ guarantee ratio (95% to 100%), ▲ fixed guarantee fee rate (0.7%), and ▲ simplified screening system are applied.
