Gyeonggi-do Operates Free Legal Consultation Center for Subcontract Fair Contracts
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will operate on-site consultation offices from July to September to resolve difficulties in subcontracting transactions faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in the province.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 6th that starting with the 'Visiting Subcontract Fair Contract Free Legal Consultation and Consulting' held at Hwaseong Dongtan Industrial Complex from the 19th to the 21st of this month, on-site consultation offices will be operated at Banwol Industrial Complex in August and Paju Industrial Complex in September.
Anyone with inquiries related to subcontracting transactions can visit the on-site consultation offices to receive free face-to-face legal consultations from fair trade specialist lawyers.
Disputes related to subcontracting transactions or methods for damage relief can also be directly consulted with lawyers or Gyeonggi Provincial Government officials.
The main legal consultation topics include ▲contract review (special terms, additional orders) ▲adjustment of delivery prices ▲non-payment of funds ▲cancellation of consignment and returns, covering all aspects of subcontracting transactions.
However, free legal consultations with lawyers are conducted by advance reservation on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure smooth progress.
Reservations can be made by applying through the Gyeonggi Province Fair Trade Support Center's data room.

An official from the province stated, "Through this visiting consultation office, we aim to help more companies in the province prevent damage caused by unfair trade and assist in relief when subcontracting damage occurs," adding, "Going forward, Gyeonggi Province will continue to support the difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises in the province more closely on-site."
