Gwangju Nam-gu, Special Mentoring for Public Enterprise Job Seekers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, will operate the ‘Special Meeting Between Youth and Current Employees’ program for two months starting in July, where young people preparing for employment at public enterprises and companies can hear firsthand employment success know-how from current workers.
According to Nam-gu on the 5th, the ‘Special Meeting Between Youth and Current Employees’ program was established to vividly share the know-how necessary for employment success, from the preparation process to how to obtain job-specific certifications, through meetings between current workers with diverse knowledge and experience and young people preparing for employment.
In particular, current employees from public enterprises, IT, and employment platform companies will conduct on-site mentoring for small groups of about 10 job seekers, which is expected to greatly help young job seekers dreaming of employment in public and private companies.
Five institutions are participating in this program, including Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation, Korea Road Traffic Authority, Korea Rural Community Corporation, IT company Gonggam Media, and employment platform Job Korea. Starting from July 20, each institution will sequentially provide mentoring on job duties and employment success strategies.
Eligible participants are prioritized among youth under 45 years old who reside in Nam-gu or are graduates or prospective graduates of universities located in Nam-gu. Each institution will recruit 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
