Simmin, Imsil County Governor, Emphasizes 'Change and Innovation' at the First Expanded Executive Meeting of the 8th Elected Term
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Shim Min, the mayor of Imsil County, stated at the first expanded executive meeting of the 8th elected administration held on the 4th, "I will lead the 8th elected administration with change and innovation."
The expanded executive meeting was held with the attendance of not only the heads of departments at the main office, who had not been able to meet for over two years due to COVID-19, but also the heads of 12 towns and townships.
Mayor Shim said, "It is meaningful and emotional to hold the first executive meeting of the 8th elected administration with the heads of departments and town and township heads gathered. I deeply thank the heads of departments and all staff who have worked with me for 8 years through the 6th and 7th elected administrations, successfully leading the county government and bringing many changes and developments to the region."
He continued, "The 8th elected administration will start stably as a continuation of the 6th and 7th terms, but we must not become complacent with reality or repeat the past without change and innovation. I ask for your cooperation in creating an 8th elected administration of change and innovation."
He also emphasized, "I hope all staff will approach their duties with a new determination, focusing on challenge rather than complacency, and creative administration rather than repeating the past."
On this day, Mayor Shim expressed a strong will to fulfill his promise to the residents to complete the "Seomjingang Renaissance" during his term.
He requested a thorough review of the legal basis, budget securing plans, and feasibility of the 77 pledges across five major areas, to devise promotion plans, clearly establish a roadmap, and promptly carry out preliminary procedures.
He also ordered solid measures aimed at leaping into the era of ten million tourists in Imsil by creating a tourism belt linking Okjeongho Lake, Cheese Theme Park, Osu Uigyeon Tourist Site, Seongsusan Mountain, and Saseondae.
Meanwhile, at Okjeongho Lake, which is reborn as the treasure island of Jeollabuk-do, a 420-meter suspension bridge leading to Bungeo Island, developed as a four-season tourist park, is scheduled to open next month.
From October 7 to 10, the Imsil N Cheese Festival will be held face-to-face for the first time in three years, along with the summer Aqua Festival and Santa Festival, all to be prepared at a higher level. He also instructed to newly promote a European-style Rose Festival as a four-season festival.
With the opening ceremony of the 9th Imsil County Council on the 7th marking the start of four years of legislative activities, he also requested friendly cooperation with the county council as a partner in county government development.
Mayor Shim Min said, "I will do my best to achieve a budget of 800 billion won during my term and complete the Seomjingang Renaissance to keep my promise to the residents. Let us unite with one heart and one mind to make living in Imsil a source of pride and devote ourselves to the successful promotion of the 8th elected administration's county government projects."
