A Tourist in Their 40s Dies While Playing in the Water Off Jeju Coast
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] A tourist who was playing in the water off the coast of Jeju died in an accident.
According to the Jeju Maritime Police Station on the 2nd, at around 5:56 PM on the 1st, a report was received by the coast guard that a tourist in his 40s, Mr. A, who was snorkeling near Wolryeong Port in Hallim-eup, Jeju City, was missing.
The coast guard and fire authorities found Mr. A floating in the nearby waters and rescued him. Mr. A was transported to a nearby hospital while receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but ultimately passed away.
