20-Year-Old Arrested for Wielding a Weapon Against Ex-Girlfriend's Father
Both Suspect and Victim Undergoing Treatment at Hospital
Police "Will Apply for Arrest Warrant Based on Suspect's Condition"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 20s who wielded a weapon against his ex-girlfriend's father has been arrested by the police.
The Guro Police Station in Seoul announced on the 29th that they have booked a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently investigating.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing a man in his 60s, Mr. B, multiple times with a weapon around 3 p.m. the previous day. It is known that Mr. A had been dating Mr. B's daughter for a year before recently breaking up.
Mr. B, the victim, went outside his home onto the road, and a neighbor who witnessed the incident reported it to the police.
Mr. B was immediately transported to the hospital and underwent surgery while conscious.
Meanwhile, Mr. A sustained fractures after falling from a height equivalent to the third floor while attempting to escape by climbing over a wall following the crime, and he is currently receiving inpatient treatment.

The police stated, "Neither Mr. A nor Mr. B is currently in a condition to undergo police questioning," adding, "We will decide whether to apply for an arrest warrant for Mr. A based on his condition."
