BBQ, Taiwan Global Business 'Vibrant'... Opening 7 More Stores This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Genesis BBQ Group announced on the 29th that it has opened its 19th chicken store in the Kaohsiung area of Taiwan.
With the transition to endemic, franchise inquiries have surged, and BBQ plans to open 7 additional stores in Taiwan this year alone, expanding its sales network throughout the country, according to BBQ.
BBQ first entered the Taiwanese market in 2018 through a master franchise partnership, introducing not only chicken but also various Korean dishes such as tteokbokki, japchae, and jeon to local consumers, continuing the K-food craze.
Currently, stores are operated in major cities including Taoyuan, Taichung, and Tainan, and following the Beitou branch, a hot spring tourist spot, in April of this year, the 19th store was consecutively opened last month in Kaohsiung.
