"CJ CheilJedang, Awarded BPW Gold for Highest Female Executive Ratio in the Industry"

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] CJ CheilJedang announced on the 26th that CEO Choi Eun-seok received the 27th 'BPW Gold Award' at an awards ceremony held by the Federation of Professional Women Korea at the Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The Federation of Professional Women Worldwide, with over 110 member countries, is one of the most influential women's organizations globally. In Korea, the BPW Gold Award was established in 1993 to honor CEOs or organizations that have improved the status of women in various social fields, provided equal opportunities for women, and dismantled gender discrimination structures.
CEO Choi was highly evaluated for practicing a culture of gender equality throughout corporate management and creating a work environment free of gender discrimination, contributing to the advancement of women's rights. She was also recognized for actively employing talent regardless of gender, including expanding female employment and increasing the promotion rate of women. The proportion of female executives at CJ CheilJedang is 25.3%, and the proportion of female middle managers is 43.3%. Last year, Kim So-young, head of the ANH Business Division, was appointed as a new inside director, enhancing the diversity and expertise of the board.
Additionally, CJ CheilJedang operates various systems to support female employees' smooth pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare. The company runs a workplace daycare center called 'CJ Kidsville' so that employees can commute with their children and work without worries.
