Gyeongbuk Office of Education Operates Psychological Support Service for Parents' Mental Health
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwi-yeol] The Gyeongbuk Office of Education is operating a ‘Parent Psychological Support Service’ to assess and help recover the mental health of parents experiencing depression and lethargy from child-rearing.
This ‘Parent Psychological Support Service’ uses standardized testing tools from a professional psychological testing institution and will be conducted on a total of 900 people with three types of tests: ▲Parenting Attitude Test for 300 people ▲Personality Type Test for 300 people ▲Parenting Stress Test for 300 people.
The ‘Parenting Attitude Test’ helps parents objectively check their parenting attitudes and seek improvement methods to foster proper parenting attitudes. The ‘Personality Type Test (MBTI, CATi)’ aims to understand preference differences between children and parents and induce effective adaptation, while the ‘Parenting Stress Test’ aims to detect stress factors in the parent-child relationship early and reduce stress.
Following registration through the Parent Support Center website from the 20th to the 22nd, 1,658 people applied. Through a lottery, 900 people will be selected, and psychological tests and interpretation lectures will be conducted sequentially starting June 24.
