Gangneung City Operates 'Local Regulation Reporting Center' to Revitalize Economy
Consultation for Receiving Corporate, Small Business, and Citizen Life Difficulties
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangneung City announced on the 23rd that it will operate a "Visiting Local Regulation Reporting Center" to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19, and to promote field-centered and region-tailored regulatory reforms in line with the government's "Local Regulation Innovation" initiative.
The "Visiting Local Regulation Reporting Center" will be led by the Deputy Mayor as the dedicated officer, with collaboration from business departments and the Regulatory Reform Committee to identify and improve regulatory difficulties through visits to local companies and public livelihood sites.
Regulatory issues that can be resolved at the city level will be addressed by the relevant departments, while matters requiring amendments to higher-level laws will be proposed to central government ministries for improvement.
Companies, small business owners, and citizens can continuously submit and consult on regulatory difficulties through the city's website participation channels for regulatory reform.
