That afternoon, President Yoon watched the Nuriho launch live at the Yongsan Presidential Office and received a report on the successful launch from Minister Lee Jong-ho of the Ministry of Science and ICT. After witnessing the launch, President Yoon said, "This is the result of 30 years of arduous challenges," and added, "Now, the dreams and hopes of the Korean people and youth will extend into space." Additionally, on his Facebook, President Yoon encouraged the officials from the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, who led the Nuriho launch operations, as well as related company personnel, stating, "We will build a space powerhouse, the Republic of Korea."
