Daedong Hospital Holds 'Love Sharing Bazaar' with Areumdawoon Store ... Proceeds Support Rehabilitation Treatment for Disabled Children
Held on the 22nd at 10 AM on the 1st floor of the hospital
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Daedong Hospital will hold a 'Love Sharing Bazaar' in collaboration with the Beautiful Store Myeongnyun Branch Foundation on the 1st floor lobby of Daedong Hospital starting at 10 a.m. on the 22nd.
Daedong Hospital held a bazaar with the Beautiful Store Myeongnyun Branch in 2019, and planned to hold the event annually, but it was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting in early 2020 and has resumed with the lifting of social distancing measures.
Hospital staff voluntarily donated reusable items from their homes such as fashion, beauty accessories, clothing, books, music albums, kitchenware, and home appliances for this bazaar, with the donated items totaling around 1,000 pieces.
The donated items will be sold on the day of the bazaar in the 1st floor lobby of Daedong Hospital, and all proceeds from the bazaar are known to be used to help pediatric patients undergoing rehabilitation treatment.
The hospital has continuously built a cooperative relationship with the Beautiful Store, participating in reuse and recycling activities to create an eco-friendly world. Additionally, it has actively engaged in social contribution activities, being recognized as a model hospital practicing ESG management in the medical field.
Kim Jaehwan, a staff member of Daedong Hospital’s Management Support Team who will volunteer at the bazaar, said, “The bazaar is a meaningful event that spreads the value of sharing by creating a world where neighbors live together through everyday sharing.” He added, “Through this bazaar, we hope Daedong Hospital can get closer to local residents and patients, raising interest so that the importance of resources and the meaning of sharing can be shared.”
Daedong Hospital has been operating the nation’s first ‘Beautiful Bookshelf’ in the outpatient area on the 2nd floor of the hospital since 2017, in partnership with the Beautiful Store Busan Headquarters.
The ‘Beautiful Bookshelf’ campaign places bookshelves in facilities frequently used by many people to promote reading environments and habits, allowing anyone to read books for free. If someone wishes to purchase a book, they can voluntarily donate to the donation box.
