Hwasun-gun to Resume 'Hwasun Jeokbyeok Bus Tour' Operation from the 29th
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, is resuming the Hwasun Jeokbyeok Bus Tour, which had been suspended for over two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The county announced on the 21st that the Hwasun Jeokbyeok Bus Tour, which offers views of the scenic Cheonhajeilgyeong Hwasun Jeokbyeok, will operate starting from the 29th.
This year's Hwasun Jeokbyeok Bus Tour will run every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday until November 27.
The Hwasun Jeokbyeok Bus Tour can be used through advance reservations on the Hwasun Tour website.
The county has been accepting advance reservations since the 15th in preparation for the operation starting on the 29th.
Boarding locations are two places: Hwasun-eup (in front of the Lee Yong-dae Gymnasium) and Iseo-myeon (Iseo Community Center), with two trips per day (morning and afternoon) at each location.
The number of passengers for advance reservation is 60 per trip for the route departing from Hwasun-eup and 30 per trip for the route departing from Iseo-myeon.
The fare is 10,000 KRW per person from Hwasun-eup and 5,000 KRW per person from Iseo-myeon. Reservations can be made from 9 a.m. two weeks before the desired tour date until 4 p.m. two days prior, for up to 8 people including the reserver.
Along with advance reservations, on-site reservation buses will also operate.
The on-site reservation bus departing from Iseo Community Center in Iseo-myeon accepts up to 30 passengers on a first-come, first-served basis.
This bus also operates twice a day, with departure times the same as the reservation-based buses.
The Hwasun Jeokbyeok Bus Tour, which started in 2015 and was used by about 30,000 people annually, was suspended after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
A county official said, “We regretted not being able to operate the bus tour for the past two years due to COVID-19. We hope people will enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Hwasun Jeokbyeok and find healing through the resumed bus tour.”
