[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] The police have sent a High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Department (Gongsoocheo) prosecutor suspected of injuring his wife to the prosecution.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Women and Juvenile Crime Investigation Unit announced on the 21st that on the 20th, they sent Prosecutor A of Gongsoocheo to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office with a partial indictment opinion on charges of injury.
Prosecutor A is suspected of injuring his wife by hitting her during a foreign trip in February 2019.
In September of last year, Prosecutor A's wife filed a complaint against him at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul for assault and injury, and since then, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has taken over the investigation.
