Jeongsik Food Central Research Institute Receives Excellent Rating for 5 Consecutive Years in International Food Analysis Proficiency Test
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Jeong Food announced on the 21st that its Central Research Institute received excellent evaluations for five consecutive years in the international proficiency testing program (FAPAS, Food Analysis Performance Assessment Scheme) organized by the UK Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (FERA).
The international proficiency testing program is the world's largest proficiency testing scheme that evaluates the diverse analytical capabilities of testing institutions. Due to its high accuracy and reliability, government agencies, university research institutes, and private testing organizations from around the world participate annually to have their analytical capabilities recognized.
Jeong Food's Central Research Institute participated in the microbiology (total bacteria) and food chemistry (vitamin C, vitamin B6) analysis fields of the international proficiency testing program. The institute received excellent evaluations with high accuracy in all categories.
Jeong Food's Central Research Institute is an internationally accredited testing institution recognized by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS) since December 2003. It has participated in the international proficiency testing program for five years since 2018.
