Harman Launches 'Mark Levinson' Noise-Cancelling Wireless Headphones
50 Years of Heritage and Cutting-Edge Technology
Wireless Headphones №5909 Launch
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Harman International announced on the 21st that its high-quality audio brand 'Mark Levinson' will launch the premium noise-canceling headphones №5909. The product is described as a culmination of over 50 years of accumulated audio technology.
According to Harman, the Mark Levinson №5909 was first unveiled earlier this year at 'CES 2022'. It can be used both inside and outside of cars.
The design and comfort are also said to be excellent. This product, which won the Red Dot Design Award 2021, features a premium leather headband with cushions and replaceable memory foam ear cushions, providing customers with comfortable wear.
The product's feature is delivering high-quality sound close to the original recording. It was designed to have a frequency response close to the 'Harman Target Curve,' an acoustic response curve derived from Harman's own tests over several years. This means users can hear sound close to the original recording anytime and anywhere.
It also offers vividness. It includes a 40mm driver coated with beryllium material to provide a live concert hall-like experience. It covers an ultra-high frequency range up to 40kHz. It allows listeners to enjoy clear sound quality regardless of genre.
It has high compatibility, allowing listening through wired or wireless connections. When connected via an audio cable to devices such as PCs, smartphones, or standard audio equipment, it delivers clear sound quality across a bandwidth ranging from 10 to 40Hz. It supports multi-pairing with up to two devices.
Sean Olive, Senior Fellow at Harman International Audio Research Lab, explained, "In terms of sound quality, the Mark Levinson №5909 has the frequency response closest to the 'Harman Target Curve' among headphones in its class," adding, "This means it is optimized to produce the most natural sound."
Above all, the product's differentiated feature is the 'Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling' function that removes external noise for up to 30 hours. It allows noise cancelling in three levels depending on the usage environment.
However, it also includes a 'Surround Awareness' mode that lets users hear surrounding sounds even while wearing the headphones, ensuring safety when on roads or sidewalks.
