[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation recently held a social economy public procurement consultation meeting, achieving significant results.
The Gyeonggi Job Foundation announced on the 21st that a total of 216 one-on-one consultations were conducted at the '2022 Social Economy Public Procurement Consultation Meeting' held on the 17th at Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency Gwanggyo Hall in Suwon Gwanggyo Technovalley.
This consultation meeting, held on-site for the first time in three years since COVID-19, was attended by 25 public institutions in Gyeonggi-do and 116 social economy enterprises in Gyeonggi-do.
Among the participating companies this year, 60% were new participants, showing a high level of interest among social economy enterprises in entering the public market within the province.
During the consultation meeting, the foundation operated under the slogan "Public Procurement Value: Together," including ▲ presentations of excellent public procurement cases ▲ one-on-one matching consultations between public institutions and social economy enterprises ▲ promotional booths and experience zones for social economy enterprise products and services.
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH), Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Agency, and Gyeonggi Job Foundation presented excellent public procurement cases and worked to raise awareness of social economy public procurement.
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation announced a case where public procurement performance increased by 180% compared to the previous year through the development of an independent platform for the social economy priority purchase system.
The Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Agency revealed a case where the scope of use expanded from existing goods and printing services to business areas. The Gyeonggi Job Foundation introduced cases of using social economy sectors through contracts in administrative service fields beyond existing goods purchases.
Lee Sang-jik, head of the Gyeonggi Social Economy Center, said, "The expansion of social economy public procurement is expected to lead to the revitalization of the social economy and have a positive effect on creating jobs in local communities," adding, "This year, it is expected to exceed the target amount of 450 billion won by broadly expanding to construction and service sectors."
