Eradicating Single-Use Products! ... Air Busan Launches Eco-Friendly Campaign 'Happy Earth Challenge'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Air Busan is conducting an eco-friendly campaign called the ‘Happy Earth, Happy Us (Haepieoseu) Challenge’ to spread social consensus on environmental protection.
The challenge is being carried out to realize ESG values and accelerate eco-friendly management.
Air Busan will run the ‘Haepieoseu Challenge,’ a citizen participation donation challenge that allows anyone to join environmental protection, from the 20th until August 31.
The ‘Haepieoseu Challenge’ is an eco-friendly campaign designed to eradicate unnecessary single-use products and promote the culture of using tumblers and mugs.
Participants can join by posting photos using tumblers or mugs on their Instagram with the designated hashtags ‘#HaepieoseuChallenge #AirBusanHaepieoseuChallenge.’
Air Busan plans to encourage participants to nominate others to join the ‘Haepieoseu Challenge’ to promote environmental protection activities and increase participation.
Among participants, a drawing will be held to award prizes such as domestic flight tickets and Starbucks gifticons.
Air Busan will add special meaning to the eco-friendly activities of participants in the ‘Haepieoseu Challenge’ and create social value by accumulating 1,000 KRW per post to establish a fund.
Once the fund reaches a certain level, Air Busan plans to promote a ‘vertical greening’ project, which is excellent for air purification and effective in mitigating urban heat island effects, to improve urban landscapes and reduce fine dust.
The locations and timing of vertical greening installations will be coordinated with future Busan city projects.
An Air Busan official said, “We will do our best to promote sustainable development and create social value through active environmental protection activities in various fields.”
