It was also conducted to provide an opportunity to experience marine healing on Daejukdo Island within the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Gochang Mudflat, and to raise awareness of the county's mudflat resources and marine healing industry.
'Marine healing' is an activity that promotes physical and mental health by utilizing marine resources such as sea breeze, sounds, water, mudflats, and marine life.
The marine healing camp consisted of mudflat experiences, pine forest bathing and yoga meditation, starry night storytelling and concerts, and night fishing under the stars.
In particular, forest bathing in the pine forest was a differentiated program unique to Gochang-gun, conducted on the coast where the rocky shore of the uninhabited island and pine trees harmonize, attracting attention.
Participants could enjoy the sound of waves and the cool sea breeze simultaneously, leading to high satisfaction among them.
A participant in the marine healing camp said, "Participating in the marine healing program at the Gochang mudflat made my body feel purified and my mind calm," and added, "It was a very enjoyable time to have such a special experience."
Meanwhile, the 3rd and 4th Daejukdo Marine Healing Camps will be held in September, and detailed program schedules can be inquired at the Marine Fisheries Policy Team of the county office's Marine Fisheries Department.
