Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Holds National Idea Contest for Gender Equality Policies
Public Contest from the 13th to the 24th
Selection of 3 Outstanding Ideas
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 12th that it will hold a public policy idea contest to establish the '3rd Basic Plan for Gender Equality Policy.'
The contest period is from the 13th to the 24th. Participants can submit their ideas by detailing the necessity and content of the policy task via the email posted in the announcements section on the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family's website. Three citizens selected for excellent ideas and 60 participants chosen by lottery will receive small prizes. Winners will be announced in July.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family establishes a basic plan for gender equality policy every five years, and this year is preparing the 3rd Basic Plan for Gender Equality Policy to be implemented from 2023 to 2027. Among the submitted opinions, those that require urgent improvement and can be formulated into policies will be reflected in the basic plan.

Kim Jongmi, Director of the Women's Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, said, "Since the basic plan for gender equality will serve as a guide for our country's gender equality policies for the next five years, we will strive to reflect policies needed by the public in the basic plan."
